French soccer star Franck Ribery admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old prostitute, sources tell the Guardian. Ribery, who has been called "the jewel of French football" by none other than soccer legend (and infamous World Cup headbutter) Zinedine Zidane, claims that he did not know the teenager was underaged when they slept together.

The 27-year-old soccer player has not been charged with a crime, but purchasing sex from anyone under 18 is illegal in France. Ribery's famous teammate is also in the middle of the scandal.

The French prostitution investigation marks the second major scandal to rock international soccer in recent months. In England, the World Cup team's soccer captain relinquished his titleafter he was reported to have carried on a torrid affair with a teammate's ex-partner.
